The School Counseling Department at Cedar Catholic High School follows the philosophy that each student is a child of God. The School Counseling Department is in existence to assist the students in realizing their potentials and capabilities in their religious, academic, social, personal, and career development through the participation in the School Counseling Program activities.

The objective of the Counselor is to serve as both educator and facilitator for the growth and development of every student. The Counselor will remain highly responsive to the individual and group needs of every student. The School Counseling Department's primary responsibilities include counseling, assessment, program development and implementation, consulting, and evaluating.
In order to facilitate student growth and development, the Counselor will utilize the expertise of faculty, parents, family members, area resources, and significant others who are important in successful attainment of the student's potential.
The goal of the Counseling Department is to promote the development of Catholic values, life skills, career planning, educational planning, and the enhancement of interpersonal relations with others.
The School Counselor is available to meet with students and their parents on an individual or group basis.
